A brand new contemporary art fair celebrates its first edition in October 2006 in Paris.

The SLICK organizers – Cecile Griesmar, Johan Tamer-Morael and Aude de Bourbon Parme – selected 20 international contemporary art galleries, which will take possession of la Bellivoise from October 27th to the 30th 2006 (preview on the 26th), according to two criterions : their insatiable desire for discovering new talented artists with their dynamic and passionate state of mind.

This fair takes advantage of the Parisian artistic scene’s turmoil on the occasion of FIAC and the international recognition of its sponsoring comity and its members – Caroline Bourgeois, Henry-Claude Cousseau, Alain Fleischer, Louis Nègre and Sonia Rykiel – in order to reveal these talent finder galleries and to put forward Paris’ vim in terms of contemporary art.
SLICK, a commercial and easy going fair, is an opportunity for the public to discover artists that have rarely or never participated to an exhibition, at still affordable prices, as well as to meet enthusiastic and relevant gallerists. Gallerists, editors, organizers and artists work together to offer an original, astonishing and friendly FIAC’s off.

SLICK 01 IN 2006

Cecile Griesmar and Johan Tamer-Morael, two young parisian gallerists and a journalist, Aude de Bourbon Parme, decided to set up SLICK this year, when FIAC newly establishes itself in the center of Paris. SLICK is meant to be fathomed as a discovering and meeting place, hand in hand with FIAC. It is also, for the introduced galleries and their artists, a springboard to FIAC as well as a visibility space.
